Jared Goff is a professional American football quarterback who currently plays for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on October 14, 1994, in Novato, California.
Goff played college football at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a standout quarterback. He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams as the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. During his time with the Rams, Goff led the team to a Super Bowl appearance in 2019.
In March 2021, Goff was traded to the Detroit Lions as part of a blockbuster trade that sent Matthew Stafford to the Rams. Goff has a strong arm and is known for his ability to make accurate throws down the field. He has been selected to multiple Pro Bowl teams during his career.
